Do’s and don’ts when traveling in a group

Traveling with friends is meant to be a fantastic experience for everyone. It’s not always easy to get along with your buddies, especially when you’re stranded with them abroad.

That is why it is critical that you establish boundaries and rules with them. There are a few things to consider before planning a vacation or holiday with friends.

What to do when planning to travel with friends?

  • Make a group chat including the people you want to invite on your holiday
  • Choose a destination everyone can agree on
  • Every person invited on the trip should make a presentation for any destination of their choosing to explain why everyone should invest in the trip
  • Start saving money
  • Set a date for the holiday
  • Make sure to give everyone enough notice of when the trip will take place so everyone can have enough time to take time off work

What not to do when traveling with friends?

  • Do not plan the trip last minute to avoid friends canceling for work reasons
  • Do not shut down ideas from friends. All ideas are important
  • Do not take or carry valuables for others or give your valuables to others unless you trust them
  • Do not save money at the last minute
  • Do not arrive at the airport last minute

Travel is exciting, but with the current state of affairs, it may also be stressful. Before travelling abroad, always check the covid requirements of your destination. Make sure you have all of your vaccines, as some countries require you to be vaccinated in order to enter their country.

Stay safe. Safe travels to those traveling right now or would be traveling in the near future.
